Neuro Updating Exercise – Resets from Cerebellum Down | by Dr. Rodney Russell | September 2024

The Exercise: How To

The easiest and fastest way to give yourself a neurological update. This improves organ function, sleep, range of motion, reduces stress & much more.

Stand comfortably with feet shoulder width apart.  Take a step forward with your left foot (about two feet), keeping all of your right foot flat on the ground. Now slightly bend your left knee so you can’t see your foot any longer.

Make sure your right foot stays completely on the ground. With your left leg forward, take your right arm now and raise it straight out in front of you until your hand is just above the height of your head.

Take your left arm and extend it (to go behind your body) behind you downward at a 45-degree angle. Your left leg and right arm should be stretched out forward and your right leg and left arm should be stretched out behind you.

Turn your head to the right (side of the arm that is extended forward) and then extend your head back slightly (trying to look up and over your right shoulder).

Look with your eyes up and to the right and then close them while maintaining the eye position.

Now, take a deep breath in and hold it for 10 seconds (longer if you would like or shorter if necessary).

An option here is to think all positive thoughts (be thankful and grateful for the abundance of health, happiness, love and success in your life).

Another option is to embrace forgiveness.  Let's say you get angry at someone, instead of stewing on it, get into the pose and forgive yourself for getting angry, give them permission to forgive you for your actions, see the learning lesson in the situation and then bless the person.  After that is completed, put the complete opposite emotion in your mind and see, feel and hear it while in the pose.  This will help imprint a positive and scrubbed out that old neural track.

Once you complete the above step reverse the stance (step forward with right leg, right knee bent, left arm forward, right arm back, head turned and extended to the left side, eyes up and to the left, eyes closed, take a breath in and hold).

Do this sequence 3 times (left foot forward and then right foot forward is one sequence).

It will take 2 minutes to perform.

Let us know how you enjoy it!
